Jammu, Aug 2: District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Jammu & various Sikh Organizations Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal), Shiromni Akali Dal (Amritsar) Sikh Intellectuals Circle, & International Sikh Federation, & Sikh Students Federation have condemned and expressed deep concern over the abduction of two Sikh girls by certain miscreants in Chhitisinghpora area of District Anantnag in Kashmir. They have urged the concerned administration for strict action against the culprits, who have already been arrested by police. S. Avtar Singh Khalsa, General Secretary District Gurdwara prabandhak Committee Jammu disclosed in a press conference in Jammu today that two minor Sikh Girls were abducted on 31.07.2018 at 9:30 AM, from Chittisingpora area when they boarded a Black colour Tavera, car mistaking it for Taxi and later on they were found in Srinagar in Semi-conscious condition. After proper Medical Examination and statements of Girls, it was ascertained that they were safe. S. Jagjit Singh, President DGPC, Jammu S. Avtar Singh Khalsa, General Secretary DGPC, Jammu & Sikh leaders said that only fair investigation by police into the matter can restore the confidence of Minority Sikh Community in Kashmir and for it the motive and conspiracy if any should be exposed by J&K Police and local administration. S. Avtar Singh Khalsa, General Secretary DGPC Jammu disclosed the press that S. Tarlochan Singh Wazir Chairman State Gurdwara Parbandhak Board, has already taken-up the matter and deep concern of entire Sikh Community with entire concerned administration and has also assured the Sikh community in Kashmir with full support and appealed for maintaining communal harmony at all costs. Other Sikh leaders present in the press conference, were Jathedar Mohinder Singh Member DGPC Jammu & President S.A.D (B) S. Surjit Singh, Ex. Secretary, S. Surinder Singh (Advocate), S. Jaspal Singh Mangal, Bh. Gurdev Singh, President S.A.D (Amritsar) S. Kuldip Singh Vice President (DGPC) Jammu, S. Manmohan Singh Cashier (DGPC) Jammu. S. Mohinder Singh Akhnor Joint Secretary (DGPC) Jammu, S. Narinder Singh Khalsa, S. Balwant Singh, S. Ranjit Singh, S. Suchwant Singh, S. Harmanan Singh also disclosed that very soon a high level sikh delegation will also visit Kashmir to ascertain the sufferings and grievances of minority Sikh community in Kashmir. |
