| TLMD III employees hold protest, seek release of salary | | |  Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Aug 2: Employees of Transmission Line Maintenance Division-III (TMLD) Udhampur protested within their divisional office.
While agitating strongly and raising slogans in support of their demands, the protesting employees argued that department has stopped the salary of all the employees working in this division from June 1 onwards despiste that they are working round the clock for fulfillment of their duty and for the restoration of power feeding to 4 districts of Jammu province viz Udhampur, Doda, Ramban and Kishtwar at 220/132/33KV levels and they have to move to and fro for the rectification of breakdowns/faults occurring on power lines as well as Grid Stations. Time and again the employees have pleaded before all the higher officers including District Development Commissioner Udhampur besides that they have appealed Principal Secretary Power also to intervene into the matter but nothing has been done so far from any side.
All the employees numbering almost 300 comprising of 1500 family members are facing lot of hardships because of non-drawl of regular salary. This has created frustration and chaos amongst employees, they said.
The protesting employees have once again request the Advisor to Governor of state and Principal Secretary Power to understand the gravity of the situation as the plight of employees is genuine and to get salary regularly is their basic right. |
