Early Times Report
VIJAYPUR, Aug 3: Three members of a family were injured critically in a bloody scuffle today at village Tamor Jakh under the jurisdiction of police station Vijaypur in district Samba.
The injured have been identified as Sunny, son of Yash Paul of Tali Morh Miran Sahib, his sister Preeti Bala, wife of Somnath and Somnath, son of Bachan Lal, both residents of Tamor Vijaypur.
According to sources, Somnath used to inflict physical torture on his wife Preeti Bala for which the latter lodged a complaint of domestic violence against the former at police station Vijaypur.
Taking cognizance of Preeti Bala's complaint, the police summoned both the parties at police Station where the police officers advised the two sides to solve the family matter amicably and sent them home.
Following this, Preeti Bala and her brother Sunny reached Somanth's house to pick up their valuables but Somnath, in a fit of anger, attacked his wife and brother-in-law with sharp edged weapon due to which Preeti and Sunny sustained critical injuries while Somnath himself was also injured in the murderous struggle. After the quarrel, all the wounded were transported to the Emergency Hospital, Vijaypur, from where doctors referred them to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for further treatment.
Police have registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
