JAMMU, Aug 3: The Institute of Management Sciences organized 2-days Orientation Program on 2nd and 3rd August, 2018 for the students of BBA, BCA - 3rd and 5th Semester. The session was inaugurated by Dr. Rekha Gupta, Director, IMS. In her inaugural address she gave some important guidelines to the students as to how to develop soft skills competencies and communication skills to sustain in the global expanding job market after completing their respective BBA/BCA courses. Dr. SK Gupta, Dean Academics, in his address emphasized upon the students how to grab opportunities for their career advancement. Technical Session was conducted by Bharat Mahajan, Assistant Professor, Govt. Degree College, Paloura. In his address he highlighted the career advancements after BBA and BCA Courses and the steps to be taken for success. The career counseling session was organized byAkhil Chopra, Trainee RC Financial Company. He shared his life experiences and motivated the students to follow their objectives passionately and with sustained efforts. A quiz competition for BBA and BCA students was very educative and thought provoking. Motivational videos were displayed to enable the students to understand as to how to achieve their respective goals. The Session was organized by Archana Sharma and Garima Kohli, Assistant Professors of IMS. A session on Soft Skills was organized by Khushboo Singh, Training and Placement Officer, IMS.
A Session on Time Management was conducted by Dr. Amisha Gupta, Assistant Professor, The Business School, (TBS) University of Jammu. In her address she emphasized the importance and how time management can reduce stress. Dr. Manmeet Singh, MD, Phychology, ASCOMS Hospital, Jammu explained how to overcome depression and stress among the youth. Er. Vidhi S. Singh, Chairman, JGEI and Er. Renu Bangroo, Managing Director, JGEI congratulated the staff and students for organizing orientation program. A Vote of thanks was given by Dr. S.K. Gupta, Dean Academics, IMS. |
