Inter School District Level Tournament for U/19 yrs Girls begins

Jammu, Aug 3: Inter School District Level Tournament for Girls U/19 yrs in the sports discipline of Badminton, Yoga, Thang-tha, Wushu, Squay Martial Art, Judo, Gymnastic and Fencing for the year 2018-19 of District Jammu got underway today here at Indoor Complex M.A stadium Jammu.

In all 100 Girls are drawn across from 14 Zones of Jammu District are taking part in the competitions. The competitions are being organised by Department of Youth Services & Sports under the patronage of Shiekh Fayaz Ahmad , KAS, Director General, Youth Services & Sports and under the overall supervision of Madan Lal, Joint Director Youth Services & Sports Jammu. While Chanchal Kour, DYSSO Jammu is the organising Secretary of the said tournament. While addressing on Opening ceremony in presence of all the ZPEO's, concerned officials of Jammu District, Chanchal Kour DYSSO Jammu encouraged the participants to play with full enthusiasm and spirit.
The main objective of the competitions is to select the teams of Jammu District for the next level of competitions i.e Inter District, Division Level Competitions.
Result Badminton Girls U/19 yrs, DPS Jammu beat Maharishi Vidya Mandir by 2-1, GD Goenika beat GGHS Mubharak Mandi by 2-0, Carmel Convent School beat APS Ratnu Chak by 2-1, APS Miran Sahib beat JK Public School by 2-0.
