Explosion rocks Budgam ; three Persons injured, one critical | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, Aug 12: Three persons were injured in an explosion that rocked Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday. The blast occurred in Tosa Maidan, days before India celebrates its Independence Day on August 15. The injured were rushed to Sub District Hospital in Khag. However, two of them were later referred to JVC Hospital in Srinagar. One person is said to be critical. The injured were identified as Mudasir Ahmad Ganie, Waseem Ahmad Ganie and Wajid Ahmad Ahanger, all residents Zagoo Kharein area of Khansahab Budgam, a police official was quoted as saying in a PTI report. As informed by Senior Superintendent of Police, Budgam, the incident is being investigated thoroughly. In recent months, Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed a huge spurt in terror activities. On May 23, six civilians were injured in the grenade attack at Bijbehara town of Anantnag district. Within the next two days, two policemen and a civilian were injured in a similar attack at a bus stand on Jammu's BC road. Meanwhile, an intelligence agency has warned that Pakistan based terror groups - Lashkar-a-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) are planning to launch Pathankot style attack on India ahead of the Independence Day, a report said. As per reports, the terrorists will target Indian Naval Base and for this, they are being given underwater attack training and deep sea techniques to attack the Navy. |
