| PPAP stages protest against fiddling with Article 35-A | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 12: Pir Panjal Awami Party today held protest against the fiddling of article 35 A. Raja Zaheer Abbas Khan said that under garb of so called Ultra Nationalism, and consolidating Hindu vote bank, the Jammu based political leaders have been demanding abrogation of article 370. From last several months they are now after Article 35 A which strengthens, J&K State Subject Law of 1927. He challenge Jammu based BJP leadership to convince people of Jammu region how repealing Article 35A will benefit Dogras of Jammu ? These groups anticipate that once 35 A is scrapped, people from rest of India will come and settle in J&K which would make J&K a Hindu dominated state. Will this move really benefit the non Muslim population of J&K, particularly the Dogras of Jammu or Buddhists of Ladakh? No not at all. This will only lead to more conflict and chaos in the already disturbed state. Tinkering with Art 35A is not only an attempt to dilute the disputed nature of Kashmir but an all out assault on the very existence on the State of Jammu and Kashmir, which will never be allowed by its people who are ready to even lay down their lives for its protection |
