PNBMT chalks out strategies for passage of Temple, Shrines Bill | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 12: Prem Nath Bhat Memorial Trust (PNBMT) organized a meeting today to take stock of the activities that were undertaken in the last couple of months and also to chalk out strategies for the passage of the Temple and Shrines Bill in Kashmir. The prominent who attended the meeting included Ravinder Raina President ASKPC, M K Jalali, A K Raina, M M Thaploo, H L Bhatt and Sanjay Koul. Chairman PNBMT Shiban Khaibri, Shadi Lal General Secretary, Sundri Lal Koul Secretary PNBMT, Kashmiri Lal Bhatt and Virender Raina were also present in the meeting. The meeting was held to review the progress relating to the passage of the all important Kashmiri Hindu Temples and Shrines Bill and also to seek further suggestions and guidance from the members in order to create a definitive plan of action for the successful navigation of the Temples Bill. Ravinder Raina while speaking in the meeting expressed serious concern regarding the condition of the temple and shrine properties in Kashmir. He expressed shock and dismay at the manner the temple properties have been allowed to get dwindled and vandalized in the Kashmir valley ever since the exodus of the KPs from Kashmir. Shiban Khaibri expressed great shock at the manner the temples of Kashmir are vanishing before our eyes. He said that these temples have been the symbols of our faith and culture for the last more than 5000 years and are a precious treasure of the pristine Sharda civilization. In the meeting the Secretary of the Trust Sundri Lal Koul told the gathering about the recent initiatives of the trust. |
