PLS organizes fortnightly literary meet

JAMMU, Aug 12: Punjabi Lekhak Sabha (PLS), Jammu organized its fortnightly literary meet here today at Tagore Academy, Rani Talab, Digiana.
Amar Singh Kuka, a well known Punjabi Ghazal writer of Jammu presided over the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Monojit Singh said that regularity is being kept as a priority to conduct the fortnightly meetings.
Dr Baljeet Singh Raina, General Secretary, PLS conducted the meet. Balwinder Singh Deep, Jang S Verman, Kulwant Singh (from Kashmir), Bishan Das Khak, Resham Kaur Resham, Harjit Singh Uppal, Amar Singh Kuka, Dr Monojit Singh recited two of their select poems/ Ghazals in the 1st round of literary session during the meet.
The themes of the items presented depicted social, cultural issues in various genres.
Satire essay was presented by Pritam Singh Anjaan on the prevailing political, social and religious situation in the country.
In the 2nd round of the session, reading of a Punjabi play "Kudrat Dey Sab Bandey" written by Bikram Singh was done by the writer himself. An interactive discussion was held after the Kavi Durbar and deliberations were made on the presentation of the reading of the Punjabi play.
