| Special Summary Revision of Municipal Electoral Rolls - 2nd Special camp held | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Aug 12: The second special camp held today in all the polling stations of Municipal Corporations, Councils and Committees across the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The copies of the electoral rolls were kept at all the polling stations during the special camp, wherein electors verified their entries and eligible voters registered their names in the electoral rolls through special camp organised today as per revision schedule.
"It was planned to organise Special Camps on Sundays - August 5th and 12th, 2018 as per the summary revision schedule of Municipal electoral rolls, so that the public must make use of the camps fully" Shaleen Kabra CEO J&K said, in response a massive gathering of eligible electors verifying their entries was witnessed in the state", he further asserted.
Pertinent to mention here that, Chief Electoral Officer J&K begun the process of special summary revision of Municipal electoral rolls under the rules governing conduct of Municipal elections for the Municipal Corporations, Councils and Committees with the publication of draft Electoral Rolls on 4th, August, 2018 with the exercise of inclusion, deletion, correction in the voter list, specific forms were made available at the respective polling stations near the dwellings of the voters as well as at corporations and municipal offices.
The period of claims and objections will be completed on 13th, August 2018 with the final publication of Electoral Rolls on 04th September, 2018. The details of EROs/AEROs and Polling Station Level Officers (PSLOs) is made available on the website of CEO, J&K (www.ceojk.nic.in), the electronic facility for the public regarding the filling of claims and objections was made available on the URL: http://ceojk.nic.in/efiling a new initiative first time, in J&K, besides the manual traditional exercise. |
