| Girl died mysteriously; kin protested with her body on NH 44 | | |

RAMBAN, Aug 13: The kith and kin of the deceased girl staged protest demonstration against district administration at Karol area of district Ramban and blocked National Highway for more than two hour, here today.
They had put the body of deceased girl Simral Rakwal on the highway and refused to lift it until a discreet enquiry is ordered into her death.
Simran Rakwal, 14, 9th class student of Government Girls High School Ramban was found strangulated by a duppatta at her home last evening when she was all alone and none of her family members were at home.
According to her family members not only her death is mysterious but also 4 year ago on the same date her cousin was also found strangulated on a tree in Karol.
The protestors raised slogans against the district administration as the death of that boy is still a mystery which is yet solved by the police.
The protestors lifted their dharna, dispersed and took the body for cremation only after they were pacified Tehsildar Ramban Parmod Kumar and Additional Superintendent of Police Ramban Sanjay Parihar, who told them that a SIT headed by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) HQ Asgar Malik was formed to look into the circumstances of the deaths.
