| Calliope School organizes Kite, Rakhi Making competitions | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 25: Raksha Bandhan was celebrated with great enthusiasm, religious fervour and gaiety in the premises of the Calliope School Doomi today. To celebrate the festival, the school organized Kite Making and Rakhi Making competitions for senior and junior classes respectively where students dedicated quality time to explore their talent. All the students participated in the competitions held on the occasion. School Principal, Sunita Raina and Administrator Kiran Raina spoke on the importance of the festival. The students were given demonstration regarding this special celebration.
Sweets were distributed among the students on the occasion. School Coordinator Priya Kohli said such festivals inculcate moral values among the students. Students were also familiarized with customs and rituals of Raksha Bandhan, she said. The event was organized by the Co-coordinator in association with teachers. School PRO Bindu Banotra, teachers Mahima Sharma, Suram, Chandan Rajput, Payal, Baby, Komal Sharma and others were also present on the occasion. |
