Former BJP minister in touch with PDP | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 25: A senior BJP leader, who was minister in the previous PDP-BJP government, is reportedly in touch with the PDP leadership to explore other options before next assembly elections. Credible sources said that this ex-BJP minister had recently met with another former PDP minister at his residence where both of them discuss prevailing political scenario in the state. Sources said that former BJP minister had ruled out possibility of shifting loyalty immediately but he asked his PDP counterpart to take up his case before party leadership for consideration. Credible sources said that this former BJP minister has made up his mind not to contest next assembly elections on BJP mandate because he has realized that party's future is bleak in next assembly polls. Secondly he is particular about grooming his own son in politics so he wanted that after shifting to PDP future of his son would be secured. Sources further said that PDP is weak in the constituency from where this ex-BJP minister had won elections so his scope of getting mandate in next election is bright. Already one of the BJP MLA from Jammu district, Dr Gagan Bhagat has raised banner of revolt against the party leadership after he was suspended from the party for three months following serious allegations against him. |
