SEECC supports ReT teachers' demand | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 26: School Education Employees Co Ordination Committee (SEECC) has decided to support the striking RET teachers working under SSA and also masters working under RMSA . State Chairman of SEECC Amar Nath Thakur expressed his resentment for not implementing and extending the benefits of 7th pay commission to the striking teachers of Jammu and Kashmir and termed it injustice with teachers working under SSA and RMSA . He said Teachers working under RMSA are recruited through SSRB on the basis of merit and got their salary from state plan since 1990 but when center extending RAMA scheme to Jammu and Kashmir state these teachers working under state plan were deputed to work under the scheme but now state government is not implementing 7th pay commission to them which is unjustified unconstitutional and violation of services rules. Same is the case of SSA teachers they were selected on the basis of merit at village level , they are highly qualified ,they worked for five years on an honorarium of 1500/per month and after five years they were confirmed as RET teachers , government gave the benefit if sixth pay commission but now they are exploited for their no fault . Thakur said some of them selected in 2000 have been working as incharge lecturers and masters ,some working against the plan posts . |
