Scholars call on Advocate General of State | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 11: A delegation of Sanskrit Scholars met DC Raina Advocate General of Jammu and Kashmir under Presidentship of Mahant Rohit Shastri at srinagar. Trust president Mahant Rohit Shastri requested to DC Raina Advocate General setting up of separate sanskrit department in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra to provide a platform to facilitating education and research in the field of this ancient and culturally rich Sanskrit languages, so that the students who pursue Sanskrit language for their further studies have not to suffer on account of dearth of facilities and opportunities. Sanskrit Scholar Mahant Rohit Shastri said that Jammu and Kashmir is the land of temples and on this sacred land many renowned poet belong to it i.e. Abhinavgupt, Kalhan, Bilhana and many more Sanskrit poet belong to this sacred land. As these renowned personalities belong to Sanskrit field, now in present situation of Jammu and Kashmir there are lack of Sanskrit gurukulsand institutes. Because of this lacking many Sanskrit students are in dilemma what they can do in their future Advocate General D C assured the Mahant Rohit that he will put forward their demands in front of the Chancellor of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University. |
