Secret' selection of non-teaching staff puts CUJ under scanner | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 11: The selection process of Central University of Jammu (CUJ) has come under the radar after aspirants accused the university administration of manipulating the list of non-teaching staff and not making the list public. The aspirants accused the university administration of adopting nepotism and favouritism by secretly making the new appointees to join their posts without making the final list public. "The blue-eyed candidates were pushed through the process and were made to register joining report without publishing the selection list or putting it on the notice board for information of the concerned who appeared for the interview," said sources, adding that if the selection had been transparent, the final list would be published much before asking the new appointees to join. They alleged that the university administration deliberately kept the final list under covers so that no dissent may be reported. "Later on the university administration put list on their website carrying only name of post and roll number of candidates without concealing full name, parentage and address for obvious reasons which needs thorough enquiry," said sources, adding that as if it was manipulation nexus operating between aspiring candidates and university administration under the nose of its Vice Chancellor. Making whole selection process as a mockery leading to a big recruitment scam to provide employment to favourites at the cost of eligible and well qualified candidates, sources alleged that all the norms and standard operating procedures have been thrown in the wind to favour persons having money power and extraneous pressure for getting jobs ignoring other deserving candidates. |
