RDD employee mints fortunes, constructs mall worth Rs 10 Cr in Rajouri | | |
Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 11: An employee of the Rural Development Department (RDD) accused of having minted fortunes disproportionate to his known sources of income has constructed a mall worth around Rs 10 crore in Rajouri here but the concerned authorities are silent. The residents of Rajauri said the employee of RDD who has been working in the department for the last over three decades had been "grabbing money through illegal means and would also distribute a share of it among his higher-ups." "Payments for the MNREGA works executed in the last around a decade haven't been dispersed properly as the same was also swindled," said sources in RDD. The locals said they many times approached the Vigilance Organization with the complaint against the "tainted employee" as to how come he constructed such a palatial mall but that no action was taken. "He happens to be very influential employee and thus no action was taken," the local said. The locals have appealed Governor SP Malik to get the matter probed. |
