NMC appeals Governor to release pending DA instalment

Jammu, Sept 11: Stressing on the need for early release of pending 2% DA installment, president of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri today appealed to the State Governor to release the said installment of DA due from July last in favor of State Govt. employees and pensioners and announcement in this regard be made in the upcoming SAC meeting so that the employees and pensioners would get sigh of relief from day to day rising prices of petroleum products and inflation.
"This become all the more necessary as Central as well as other state governments had already released this DA installment to their employees and pensioners adding this would ultimately pile-up the arrears thus adding extra burden on the State Government."Shastri said this while addressing a well attended NMC workers meet here. As a matter of goodwill Gesture, hence an early release of DA installment is need of the hour adding that the budgetary provision have already been made for the year 2018-19 state budget, so there should be no hitch for the State Government in releasing this installment, he said .Any delay in such matter is also not in the interest of state exchequer, he added. Early amendment in SRO 520,creation of wage head for regularly disbursement of wages of daily rated workers, issuance of orders of regularization 180 daily rated workers working in the Rural Development Department falling under SRO 64 etc.
