Six injured in road mishap

Rajouri, Sept 11: Six passengers received grievous injuries while others had narrow escape when a bus in which they were travelling in skidded off the road and fell in the bushes near Lamberi village on Jammu-Poonch highway in the afternoon today.
More than fifty passengers reportedly were travelling in the bus when the driver lost control on the bus in order to imminent head on collision with a tipper due to rash driving.
Both the vehicles reportedly had touched each other and in order to avoid major accident both the drivers turned the vehicles and fell in the roadside bushes. Police said six passengers received injuries and were shifted to sub district hospital at Sunderbani.
Six passengers received serious injuries and were shifted to hospital at Sunderbani while remaining were provided treatment on the spot. The injured have been identified as Nishi Sharma & her son Harshit Sharma r/o Banpuri, Mohd Iqbal and his wife Shahila Begam r/o Channi, Zareena Begam r/o Rajouri and Mamta Devi r/o Thandapani.
After providing necessary medical aid Mamta Sharma and Zareena Begam were referred to Government Medial College Hospital (GMCH) at Jammu by the doctors for specialised treatment.
