| JK's Athletes participates in 1st National 400 mtr Open Championships | | | JAMMU, Sept 11: Three Athletes from J&K participated in the 1st National 400 mtr Open Championships organised by Athletics Federation of India at Dharamshala (HP) on September 8th to 9th, 2018. The performance of all three Athletes was outstanding as all the three Athletes qualified for the finals. Abhinav Kundal remained 4th with the timing of 49.93 s in under 20 category, and missed the medal by just a fraction. Vasu Sapolia remained 6th with the timing of 54.09 s in under 16 category and Abrar Choudhary remained 8th with the timing of 55.40 s in under 18 category.
It is worth mentioning that the Athletes performed outstandingly besides the fact that there is no synthetic track available in J&K.
Dr Ashutosh Sharma, Vice president Indian Olympic Association, Suneel Mahajan President J&K Athletics Association, Ravinder Singh Sr Vice president and Sharat Chander Singh General Secretary J&K Athletics Association congratulated the Athletes and their coaches for the excellent performance in the National Championships. |
