Induction programme for ISM doctors organized

Jammu, Sept 22: Induction programme for freshly enrolled learners of BPCCHN (Certificate Bridge Programme in Community Health) Programe was organized at the Programme Study Centre of IGNOU 12125P, Govt. District Hospital, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu today. This is a special programme launched by IGNOU sponsored by the State Governments with the support of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, as per an MoU between the said Ministry, Govt. of India and IGNOU. This is the consecutive fourth batch of Medical professionals being inducted for enhancement of their skills in their respective fields. The present batch comprises of 48 Ayush Doctors working with NHM were inducted for July 2018 admission session. Out of the total 48 candidates, 26 candidates are attached to the District Hospital, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu and 22 candidates are attached to the District Hospital, Udhampur for training and other support services during the course of programme.
The aim of this programme is to enhance knowledge and skill of learners in providing community health care services, develop competencies in dealing with issues of public health, provide comprehensive primary care based on the set protocols appropriate to sub-centre level.
