Lecture on Youth start-up loan schemes held at GDC Akhnoor

JAMMU, Sept 22: Department of Commerce, GDC Akhnoor in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) organized a lecture on "Sustainable livelihood opportunities to self employment for the youth of J & K" under Youth Start-Up Loan Schemes in college seminar Hall.
The resource persons' were Dr. Vinod Sharma and Vir Partap singh, faculty members of JKEDI. Students were given information regarding various entrepreneurship programmes which can help them in setting their own business ventures. Speaking on the occasion Principal of the college Prof. Kuldeep Raj Sharma highlighted the importance of such programmes for students in present scenario where there are fewer opportunities for all the students to get absorbed in Govt. jobs.
He stressed upon focusing on other sectors also which has abundance of opportunities.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Ashok Kumar, convener placement cell and Prof. Sonia Bhau Asstt. Prof. in commerce. Dr. Chnader Shekhar, Prof. Tarsem Lal,Prof. Kuldeep Kumar, Prof. D.N. Sharma,Dr. Pavanjeet Bali, Dr. Mamta Sharma and Prof. Sunil Kumar among others were also present.
