Panic gripped in Nagrota, woman found 5 suspects

Jammu, Sept 22: Panic gripped the Nagrota area after a woman who went to temple in the early morning noticed five suspicious persons sleeping in the premises of the temple and fled away after they woke up due to the disturbance of the temple bell.
Police spokesman said that today at about 05:00 hours, one lady namely Baby Devi of Jagti colony Nagrota daily routinely went to Jagdamba Mata temple near Jagti colony for prayer where she found five suspicious persons sleeping in the premises of said temple, aside sports shoes, were also having pithu bags. Complainant said that due to the disturbance of bell the suspicious persons woke up and immediately fled away from the spot. Then, the said lady met the priest namely Ashutosh at about 10:00 hours who made a phone call to Nagrota police and police came the spot. During the search and investigation five boys namely Kulvir Singh and Rahul Bandral both residents of Dhammi Jagti Nagrota, Neeraj Sharma, Ajay Singh and Amandeep Singh of Jagdamba Jagti apprehended by security forces and come to know that they had came from a marriage ceremony function from Samba late hours and at about 02:00 am as their houses were far and were unable to reach the houses due to extreme darkness etc coming on their way of home. Therefore they decided to stay night in the premises of said temple and the search operations ended peacefully at about 15:00hrs.
