Jammu, Sept 23: In an ongoing operation, security forces have killed a militant in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday.
As per reports a militant, apparently a non-local, was killed in the gunfight that broke our early Sunday in Dar Ganai Gund village of Aripal area of Tral.
After the killing of militant, exchange of fire stopped at encounter site but a search operation is underway at the site of the gunfight, they said.
Local sources said that the house in which the militant was trapped was razed to ground by the forces through the use of explosives.
The identity of the slain militant was not immediately known.
