9/24/2018 8:47:28 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 24: One day protest demonstration cum hunger strike was organized by Jammu and Kashmir Teachers' Joint Action Committee (TJAC) at Jantar Mantar New Delhi in which a large number of TJAC leaders from J&K participated. The protest was organized under the leadership of State President ReT Forum and member TJAC Vinod Sharma, State Chief Coordinator Sukhdev Singh Sumbria, State Vice President Gulzabir Daing and Provincial President Jammu Rajesh Jamwal . While speaking on the occasion Vinod Sharma said that 41000 regularised ReT Teachers and masters in J & K have been deprived of 7th Pay Commission by J&K Government till date, even though more than 4.5 lakh employees of the state have been getting the 7th Pay Commission benefit since April this year. "As these ReT Teachers have been appointed by the state government on ReT pattern vide SRO-396 Dated 28.04.2000 and regularised as General Line Teachers after completion of 5 years satisfactory ReT period and have already been provided with 6th Pay Commission benefit, annual increments, time bound promotions and all other benefits ,which the other teachers/employees of the state get time to time. But this year , in April, when 7th Pay Commission was implemented in the state, these 41000 Regularised ReT Teachers and masters were ignored by JK Government thereby creating a sense of depression among thousands of these teachers and their families", he said.
