| GDC Thannamandi celebrates NSS Day | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 24: NSS Unit of Government Degree College Thannamandi celebrated NSS Day. Principal of the College Prof. (Dr.) Shakeel Ahmed Raina was Chief Guest on the occasion. In the programme, NSS Volunteer Shabnam presented a Speech on the NSS Motto "Not me, but you". Asgar Majeed and Party presented a skit on Cleanliness, and Usma Sadeeqi read a self-written poem on selflessness. NSS Programme Officer Prof. Saleem Ayaz Rather presented a report on the activities of the NSS Unit of the college and also welcomed the audience.
A documentary of the Swachhata Summer Internship Programme of NSS Volunteers created by Shahid Anjum was also shown. Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the College Prof. (Dr.) Shakeel Ahmed Raina said that the goal of the NSS Unit of the College was to inculcate values of selflessness and social service in the students, and these activities help to build good moral character of the students. He appreciated the NSS Unit of the College and announced that the best NSS Volunteer would be awarded on World Students Day.
Earlier the programme started with recitation of few verses of Holy Quran by . The programme was compared by Prof. Shaji Khan and Asgar Majeed. The formal Vote of Thanks was given by Dr. Khalid Rayaz. |
