GCPWF, AVM pay tributes martyrs who led anti mandal commission agitation

JAMMU, Sept 24: General Category Peoples' Welfare Forum (GCPWF) and Jammu and Kashmir Aarakshan Virodhi Manch (AVM) paid tribute to young students, who sacrificed their lives while fighting anti-Mandal Agitation of 1990.
Speaking on the occasion, Yash Paul Sharma President of General Category People's welfare Forum Jammu appreciated the role of the activists of the forum and the Manch for bringing the historical agitation of 1990 once again into limelight by celebrating 24th Sept as Samta Divas. This day is being celebrated for last 10 years in India by anti-mandal organization.
Ram Pal Seth, President of Aarakshan Virodhi Manch describe the Martyrs the real epitome of courage, justice and equality. The young martyrs exhibited courage, determination and commitment to awake the country against caste based discrimination, Communalism and divide and rule policy of the government it is our duty to carry on their mission. Madan Lai Narad, General Secretary of the Manch by paying tributes to the martyrs alleged that policies are being framed keeping an eye on the vote bank and not the nation. He said that martyrs of 1990 anti-mandal agitation opposed the caste based reservation.
He blamed Modi Government for promoting the forces of casteism and communalism through its reservation policy through ignoring the poor and deserving people of Swam Caste.
