International Day of Peace observed

JAMMU, Sept 24: Each year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on 21st September, the Shiksha Niketan School Jeevan Nagar organized a symposium competition of class 6th on the topic:-The Right to peace.
Pertinently, the day was established in 1981 by the United nations General assembly and in 2001,the General assembly voted to designate the day as a period of non violence and ceasefire. Similarly in order to make the students aware of this day and to enhance the speaking skills of the students.
In this competition 2 student from each section participated in it. Students showed their great enthusiasm. The judging criteria was based on gesture pronunciation timing. Incharge Nirmal Sharma appreciated the talent of the students.
The competition was held under the supervision of all concern teachers and co-ordinators of class 6th.
1st position is bagged by Priya of 6th D, 2nd position is shared by 2 sections Khushi of 6th A and Gurpreet 6th F, and 3rd position is bagged by Navdeep Kour of 6th B.
Atlast, Principal of the school Rameshwar Mengi ji felicitate the winners and congratulate them.
