| World Sight day celebrated | | | RAJOURI, Oct 11: On the occasion of World Sight day an awareness camp was organized where a large number of patients were examined and imparted awareness regarding the eye care by the Consultant Opthalmologist Dr. Rajiv Sharma and eye Technicians.
A free cataract eye surgery camp was also organized. While briefing about the importance of World Sight Day Dr. Mehmood H Bajar Medical Superintendent District Hospital Rajouri said that World Sight Day or WSD is an international day of awareness, held every year on the second Thursday of October. Established in 2000 by WHO (World Health Organization) the day seeks to spread awareness and focus attention on the global issue of avoidable blindness and visual impairment. |
