BJP senior leaders skip Sher-e-Dugger's birth anniversary function | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 27: Though BJP leaders from State and Centre hold former Jana Sangh president and founder of Praja Parishad Movement, Pt Prem Nath Dogra in high esteem, but party was exposed after it's State president and other senior party leaders from the State failed to turn up at the party function held at Dogra Chowk here in connection with celebration of veteran leader and Sher-Dugger's 135th birthday yesterday. Surprisingly BJP's national general Secretary in charge J&K Ram Madhav during his two day of tour of State preferred to visit Kashmir Valley to hold meeting with newly elected Party's corporators and councilors from Kashmir. For Madhav holding of meeting with corporators and councilors was more important than participating in party function at Jammu and paying tributes to Jana Sangh stalwart who was responsible for abolishing permit system and bringing J&K more closer to Indian Union. These were the policies and programmes of Prem Nath Dogra and his like that total merger of J&K with India took place and today the demands regarding abolition of Art 35 A and 370 have gained momentum in country. Madhav could have spared some time and scheduled his visit to Jammu to participate in the function to pay tributes to Sher-e- Dugger. This could have sent a good signal across the country and also compelled the BJP State chief and other senior leaders to participate in the function who oft repeatedly say that they are the Vanshaj ie political ideologue of late Dogra. But contrary to it the senior leaders including Madhav did not spare even some minutes to make their presence at the function held at Jammu. BJP which is in power at Centre and over a dozen states today it is because of struggle and sacrifices of great stalwarts like Shayama Prasad Mukherjee, Deen Dayal Upadayay and Pt Prem Nath Dogra and if the present leadership forgets it's ideologies it indicates that party is just using their name to come to power than to follow their ideology. |
