Measures afoot to improve living conditions of people: Kavinder Gupta | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 28: Former Deputy Chief Minister and MLA Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta continues with the start of black topping works. On Sunday, he started the black topping work worth Rs 15 lakh at Apna Vihar ward 55 in presence of Baldev Bilowria and Pritam Singh, Corporator from ward 55. While addressing the Gathering, Gupta said measures are afoot to improve the living conditions of the people of the state. BJP is committed to provide area based smart solutions to infrastructure and services in area-based development. He said that number of road macadamization and up-gradation works have been taken up with special thrust on the use of quality material. Highlighting the achievements of present dispensation in PWD, PHE and other sectors, Kavinder Gupta apprised that more than 600 km road length has been upgraded, more than 385 transformers and 14000 new electric poles have been installed in Gandhi Nagar constituency in the past three years all the already approved works shall be executed by the concerned agencies in phased manner. Gupta said that since the Jammu city has been included in smart city, the Government of India has released Rs 40 crore to get started with the works. He said the elected corporator from the respective area has to play a vital role for the overall development of their wards and they should come forward forgetting the party affiliations so as make the Gandhi Nagar constituency a model Constituency. Gupta also congratulated the corporator Pritam Singh on being elected from the ward and assured full support to him with regards to the development of the ward. Gupta said his doors are always open for anyone who has any complaint or suggestion for the development of the area. |
