The teachers recruited under Rashtriya Madhiyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) this year are without salaries from past four months. As many as 550 RMSA Teachers were recruited by School Education Department in state's high and higher secondary schools on contractual basis under RMSA this year. With the prices of commodities soaring, the RMSA teachers said it has become very difficult to survive with meager fixed salary that too without being credited for several months. RAMSA teachers from district Kupwara appealed that their salaries be paid at least for the sake of the students if not for teachers' sake while stating that it has become impossible to carry out duties on an empty stomach. |
