Early Times Report KATHUA, Nov 2: The students of Kartar Public School, Barnoti celebrated a 'green Diwali' without bursting any crackers. They took to eco-friendly celebrations like 'Making Greeting Cards' (classes 1st to 5th), 'Diya Decoration' (classes 6th and 7th), 'Poster Making' (8th to 10th) and 'Rangoli Art' (11th and 12th classes). It was an impressive sight to witness the talent displayed by the students of different classes. On this occasion, Lakshmi Pooja and Arti were conducted. The school arranged different stalls dispensing dosa, chowmein, momos and other condiments. The students had a wonderful time. Harpreet Kaur, Secretary-cum-Principal and Er. Nirmaljit Singh, Chairman of KPS greeted the students on the eve of Diwali. The Chairman said that the festival of lights is symbolic of knowledge and wisdom. "Let knowledge come to us from every side. Let us spread good will and oneness," he said. |
