Jammu, Nov 5: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) celebrated 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) wherein 46 Kendriya Vidyalaya students from IIT, Chennai, Annanagar, Dindigul and CLRI participated and presented their performances representing the unity and integrity of India. For the organization of the event, a committee comprising of several faculty members has been formed, which has been organizing the event with the help of students. Vice-Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Island Groups informed that Tejal; Samyukta, Sanjuktha and others presented classical solo & group songs in Tamil & Hindi and dance performances. The program was also attended by the host Principals of K. V. Jammu & Nagarota, namely Amit Walter and Didar Singh. The Tamil students were assisted with mentors, namely M. Amutha; Gowri, Girija, and Nayab Singh. Also, the in-house performers, namely Mansi Mathoo, Shivi Badyal, Abhinav and others presented scintillating performances in Dogri, Punjabi, Hindi and other regional languages of J&K. Significantly, the students, Mohit Sharma, Mastana & Aakash of Institute of Music & Fine Arts, University of Jammu also performed Dogri Folk song. |
