KISHTWAR, Nov 8: A complete and peaceful shutdown was today observed in Kishtwar District by the members of both the communities viz Hindu and Muslims against the killing of BJP leader Anil Parihar and his brother Ajeet Parihar by unknown gunmen in Tapal Gali Kishtwar last week.
As per the details available with Early Times, all the shops and other commercial establishments of both the communities remained closed, while traffic also remained thin on the roads.
The announcement of bandh call was given by Sanatan Dharam Sabha Kishtwar while Majlis-e-Shoura committee Kishtwar headed by Imam Jamia Masjid Kishtwar Farooq Ahmed Kichloo, Chenab Valley Traders Association and Beopar Mandal Kishtwar had also extended their support to the shutdown call. |
