| Shops established 26 years ago not allotted till today | | DIC mocks at unemployed educated youth | |  Arun Jasrotia

udhampur, Nov 10: In a glaring example of misuse of government funds, 26 shops constructed by the District Industries Centre Udhampur at a prime location of Udhampur Dhar road near Industries Estate Udhampur have not been allotted to any educated unemployed youth till today.
Unemployed Youth while talking to ET said that in 1992-1993District Industries Centre Udhampur constructed 26 shops to be allotted to educated unemployed youth for self employment but after the lapse of 26 Years, department failed in its objective wasting public money and also mocking at the deserving youth, who could have made a living for themselves.
Suram Sharma General Manager DIC Udhampur when contacted said that in the year 1992-1993, these shops were established and at that time this was decided that the said shops will be allotted to the unemployed Youths under Self employment scheme but the allotment could not be made due to lack of clear guidelines. He however refrained from any further comment and referred the matter to MD SICOP. |
