Srinagar included in smart city list, will soon get city logo | | | Srinagar, Nov 11: Jammu and Kashmir may soon get the first logo for its capital city, Srinagar. A campaign has been launched by the state government seeking design ideas for the 'smart city' to attract tourism and encourage artists. However, a formal notification for logo will be released on Monday asking for entries from across the country. "Srinagar has been shortlisted as a smart city in the country. The city has centuries of history, art and heritage. So, our aim is to encompass ideas and represent those ethos. Creative ideas can be sent by any individual across India. The government will also attempt to leverage tourism and get the logo printed on merchandise, which can be bought as souvenirs," said Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar Syed Abid Rasheed Shah. |
