Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 18: Vowing to protect wishes and aspirations of the people of Jammu region, Team Jammu today reiterated its resolve to carry on fight to end discrimination with this region. A function-Dhanywaad Samaroh- was organized today to felicitate candidates who had contested recently held urban local bodies elections in Jammu which was attended by large number of people including elderly, women and youth. Former Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Narinder Singh and Chairman, Team Jammu, Zorawar Singh Jamwal jointly honoured candidates who are also known for their social work especially their fight against drug abuse included newly elected Corporator of Ward No 24 Anu Bali, Rakesh Mishra, Er Chandan Dutta, Rameshwar Sharma, Angrez Singh Babbi, Deepak Kumar, Sunil Singh Jamwal and Sulabh Mahajan from R. S Pura. While addressing the jam-packed gathering, Chairman, Team Jammu, Zorawar Singh Jamwal said that results of these elections were eye-opener for national parties who have been neglecting Jammu region to appease Kashmir centric parties. Zorawar Singh Jamwal said that those claiming that they have won Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) elections were living in a fool's paradise because vote share of both BJP and Congress have come down drastically. "While as vote share of BJP has come down to 51 percent as compared to 2014 assembly elections, Congress's vote share also registered 21 percent down", Zorawar Singh Jamwal said and mentioned that people of Jammu region have preferred Independents at the cost of BJP and Congress. |
