| Army conducts cricket tournament at Budhal | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 19: A cricket League tournament was organized by Indian Army at Budhal area of Rajouri district.
A total of eight teams from various villages of far flung and remote areas of Rajouri district participated in the tournament on league cum knock-out basis. Pir Panjal Cricket Club team was eventually adjudged the champion team after beating Bagga Cricket Club team in a keenly contested match.
Over 86 locals from a number of remote villages in Rajouri, turned up to witness the final match, which was a heartening sight for such a remote area of the state and symbolises love for sports as also the feeling of bonhomie amongst the locals.
All the participating team members displayed excellent sportsman spirit during the conduct of the tournament. The Sarpanch and elders of the village expressed their gratitude towards the Army in its endeavours to motivate the youth of the region and bring in bonhomie.
