HC posted at DGP's residence sustain bullet injury | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 19: A head constable of Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) posted as static guard in the official residence of Director General of Police (DGP) today morning sustained bullet injuries. However, it could not be ascertained yet whether he accidentally shot himself or was fired at. "Head Constable Subash Chander of IRP 12th Bn Nud Sambaand presently posted at static guard in the official residence of DGP. He is a resident of Rajal Nowshera of district Rajouri and sustained injuries in a firing incident at the DGP's official residence at Bikram Chowk here," a police officer said. Chander was immediately rushed to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Hospital, where his condition was stated to be critical. "We cannot say whether it is a case of accidental fire or suicide. His service weapon (carbine) was lying close to him," in-charge police post Nehru market, SI Sandeep Charrak said. He said that DGP Dilbagh Singh had not shifted to his official residence as yet. Police have registered a case and started investigation. |
