JAMMU, Nov 19: Daughter of the soil Sakshi Khorana has brought laurels to the state by winning the 2nd runner up title in a beauty pageant held recently at Mumbai. The beauty pageant was organized by Aman Gandhi Film Productions for a social theme event based on 'Save Girl Child and Respect Women' in which 12 finalists competed under 5 different rounds namely traditional, poster campaign on the theme, talent round, evening gown and finally question answers. The top 5 finalists were from Mumbai, Gujarat, South Africa, Kolkata and Jammu. Maitry from Gujarat was the winner of the event while Kimberly Govender from South Africa was adjudged 1st runner up 2018 and Sakshi Khorana from Jammu received the title of 2nd runner up Miss India Continent 2018. Sakshi Khorana daughter of Rohin Khorana reside in Partap Garh Street, Jammu. She completed her schooling from MIER Jammu and graduation in Aviation from Mumbai University. She holds a Commercial Pilot License as well and currently working with SpiceJet Airlines at Jammu Airport. Sakhsi has also won a crown for India's Glory Award for women empowerment 2018 in this event. The guests of honour in the beauty pageant included Dr Mahesh Yadav, Director Aman Gandhi Film Productions, Vishwas Sirmukaddum, Bollywood Producer, Film Director Pampally, former Miss India Continent and many more. The show was held in Mumbai on November 15. It is pertinent to mention here that Sakshi has also won Miss North 2010, Miss Glory of India 2012 runner up, Miss Viewers Choice in Mannapuram and Miss Queen of India. |
