| Bail denied to two accused in kidnapping, rape with minor | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 24: Principal Sessions Judge Reasi Kamlesh Pandita rejected the bail application of Kuldeep S/o Tara Chand and Rinku Kumar S/o Gopal Chand accused in rape and kidnapping of a minor.
While rejecting bail application, Principal Sessions Judge Reasi Kamlesh Pandita after hearing both the sides observed that the person who is prima facie found to have committed such offence is not entitled to the concession of bail. Offences more particularly against the women have been viewed to be an offence against the society at large and letting the accused on bail in such heinous offence if prima facie committed would definitely have deleterious effect on the mind of general public and would encourage re-occurrence of such crime. So therefore in view of the special provision regarding bail in serious offence against the women enacted as section 497-C of Criminal Procedure Court, the accused are not entitled to bail, therefore the instant bail application is rejected outrightly. |
