Jammu, Dec 1: In order to intensify market checking, a team of LMD today conducted market inspections in the areas of Kunjwani, Sainik Colony, Malik Market, Bhatindi, Gujar Nagar and Talab Khatikan.
Around 36 business establishments were checked and nine erring traders were booked and a fine of Rs. 6500/- was realized from them for violating various rules of Essential Commodities Act 1955, LPG Control Order 2000 and Non-Display of rate list on their shops.
Besides all business establishments were given strict directions to display the rate lists in bold letters at a conspicuous place of their establishments and not to indulge in any type of unfair trade practice. |
