Jammu, Dec 1: A two days state level 26th Children's Science Congress (a program of NCSTC, DST, Delhi) was thrown open at Carmel Convent Hr. Sec. School, Kunjwani Bye Pass, Jammu by Shamsher Singh Manhas, Member Parliament, Rajya Sabha in the presence of Sister Maria Swati AC, Principal Carmel Convent Hr. Sec. School, Jammu. In his inaugural address, M P stressed on the importance of science and technology in this modern age & added that such programme can increase the interest of the children to think & act scientifically. He lauded the efforts of Zaffar Ullah Khan, Founder Secretary General, NCURDS, Jammu & State Coordinator NCSC - J&K (JAMMU PROVINCE) & his team for organizing such a wonderful programme in the interest of students & teacher community. Sister Maria in her address said that the interest of the students in the field of science & research can be boosted up by such an innovative programme. Earlier Kuldeep Gupta, State Academic Coordinator, NCSC -J&K(J) welcome the chief guests, evaluators and other dignitaries along with child scientists & guide teachers coming from the different districts of Jammu & Kashmir. Ashaq Hussain, Chairman organizing committee gave brief introduction of the programme of NCSC & tips regarding guidelines/evaluation criteria for presentation of the project in this two days mega event. |
