Jammu, Dec 2: A two days state level 26th Children's Science Congress (a program of NCSTC, DST, Delhi) Mega Event concluded today at Carmel Convent Higher Secondary School, Kunjwani Bye Pass, Jammu. The said programme was organized by National Council for Urban and Rural Development Society, Jammu under the guidance of Zaffar Ullah Khan, Founder Secretary (NCURDS) and State Coordinator NCSC-J&K (Jammu). About 80 projects based on Focal Theme "Science, Technology and innovation for a clean, green & Healthy Nation" from different institution drawn from various districts of J&K were presented by the children of age group 10-17yrs focusing on solution to the local problem easily applicable by the society. The Valedictory function was presided over by Sister Maria Awati AC, Principal Carmel Convent Higher Secondary School, Kunjwani Bye Pass, Jammu. Kuldeep Gupta, Master Govt. Girls High School, Simbal Camp and State Academic Coordinator, J&K (Jammu) welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries and the light on the purpose of this programme. Dr. Ashaq Hussain, Principal, Govt. Degree College, Chatroo, Kishtwar gave a brief account of NCSC and how this programme is helpful for uplifting the creativity of the child scientists & enable them to think and act scientifically. |
