Army Chief presses Pakistan's 'dukhti rug' | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 2: Army Chief General Bipin Rawat seems to have pressed the "dukthi rug" of Pakistan by asking it to become secular first and then think about living together with India. "If they (Pakistan) have to stay together with India, then they have to develop as a secular state. See this staying together, staying separate, ispe Pakistan ko apni andruni halat dekhni hogi. Pakistan ne apne state ko Islamic state bana diya hai. Hum log secular state hai (Pakistan has to look at its internal situation. They are an Islamic state, we (India) are a secular state)," the Army Chief said. General Rawat has made it clear that Pakistan has to set its house in order first and then talk about improving relations with India. "There is no doubt about the fact that extremists and fanatics are dominating the political discourse in Pakistan and they are calling the shots," said an analyst. He said that General Rawat is aware about the fact that politicians in Pakistan are mere "puppets" who dance to the tunes of Army and ISI. "The radicalization in Pakistan is one of the major reasons for country being pushed to the brink. These radical elements are active in every field in the neighbouring country and are responsible for spreading hatred against India," the analyst added. A defence analyst said that the Pakistani militants active in Kashmir are highly radicalized elements. "The recently killed self styled commander of Lashkar-e-Toiba Naveed Jatt had undergone the training in the same Madrassa where the Mumbai attack convict Ajmal Kasab was trained," he said, adding that Army Chief is aware about the mindset of the terrorists and their bosses. "The Army Chief knows it very well that people within the Pakistan establishment have got a perverted mindset and they don't want peace with India. Their only aim is to bleed India as they want to avenge the defeats which they have faced in the battle fields since 1947," the defence analyst added. He said that whenever any Pakistani militant is killed the security forces recover incriminating documents from the encounter site. "These militants are highly indoctrinated and motivated. They are the ones who recruit the local youth into militant ranks and then turn them into cannon fodder. Pakistan has been playing a dirty game all along. Imran Khan needs to first deal with the radical elements within his country and then talk about improving ties with India," the defence analyst added. |
