Rajouri, Dec 2: Rajouri police claimed to have arrested three persons for last night violence in Rajdhani village of Police Station Thanamandi tehsil in Rajouri.
Police spokesman said that incident took place last night when some persons, including a contesting sarpanch candidate who got defeated, entered inside the house of another defeated candidate and beat up the family members and also damaged the household items including furniture alleging conspiracy for defeat. The complaint was lodged into matter by the complainant family wherein it was stated involvement of about a dozen assailants in the incident in which four to five family members got injured.
"Soon after receiving the complaint, a case under FIR no. 212/2018 under sections 307, 458, 147, 148, 427, 323 of RPC was registered in police station Thanamandi,"said spokesman adding that on the directions of SSP Rajouri, Yougal Manhas, teams of police headed by SDPO Thanamandi Iftikar A Chowdhary and SHO Nazeer Dar conducted raids in the area ad arrested three accused so far. The arrested accused have been identified as Manzoor Hussain, Maqsood Hussain and Ibrar Ahmed all residents of Rajdhani while search of other accused is going on who will also be arrested soon. |
