UDHAMPUR, Dec 6: Demanding regular supply of electricity for Basantgarh and Ramnagar, the students of Government Higher Secondary School, Ramnagar held a protest against Power development Department (PDD).
The students along with locals, who also joined the protest, said that PDD applies a heavy curtailment due to which the people are facing problems.
Protesters said that they have brought this problem into the notice of PDD authorities several but to no avail. Protesting people said that the school going children are the worst suffers of power outages as they cannot do not study during nights because of the non-availability of electricity at their homes. Narinder Singh Thakur, Sunil Kesar, Kuldeep Kumar, Mushtaq Ali, Sanjay Kumar, Shanty Tripathi, Rashid Ali, Vinod Kumar and Sudesh Kumar were among others who were part of the protest. |
