X-ray machine at SDH Nagri lying defunct for months | People allege foul play | | Harpreet Singh Sethi
Early Times Report Kathua, Dec 6: Tall claims of the Government to provide better healthcare facilities to the patients in the Government hospitals are falling flat at sub District Hospital Parole Nagri where defunct of X-Ray machine is mocking at the patients who have to face immense hardships due to its break down. The sole X-Ray machine at the Sub District hospital Parole Nagri is lying defunct from past several months while the authorities have not bothered to get it repaired. The patients as well as the attendants said that the authorities are indifferent to their hardships. "This is a crucial hospital for the people who get injured in accidents at the national highway and X ray machine is a must" said Dina Nath, a local. "Is it not the duty of the health department to get the snag repaired at the earliest so that the people do not have to hardships?" he asked. Meanwhile, people are impelled to conduct the X-ray test at the private clinic in Kathua city and people believe that authorities of the hospital are hand-in-glove with the private clinics and hence not getting the machine repaired. Attendants and Patients who were present in the hospital demanded higher authorities to look into the matter and urged them to make the X-ray machine available at the earliest. |
