Feeling suffocated, respectable leaders likely to say good-bye to party soon | Resignation of Drabu will open flood-gate in PDP | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 6: Resignation of senior PDP leader and former Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu from the party is just beginning of the breaking of PDP because a number of leaders are already waiting for the opportunity to quit the party. Credible sources said that facing humiliation in the party many senior leaders are in touch with the rebels of the party and they are waiting for the appropriate opportunity to hit back at party leadership. Credible sources further said that officially PDP president Mehbooba Mufti had sidelined some leaders against who leaders had resentment but in reality those 'sidelined' leaders are still running all affairs of the PDP. "The same coterie of drawing room politicians who have never faced people is running all affairs of the party and president of the party Mehbooba Mufti is working on the advice of only this coterie of incredible leaders", sources said and revealed that very soon a strong group will quit the party. Haseeb Drabu has announced his resignation in a letter written to the party President and Former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today. Drabu wrote in his letter, " "Even though I have not been a dissident - you are aware I had resigned from the cabinet, assembly and party nearly two years ago which you didn't accept - I have disengaged from the party affairs for quite some time now." He added, "I didn't precipitate the matter because I believe it is ethically and morally wrong to leave the party under whose aegis one has contested and won the seat in the legislative assembly. Now that it is over, I am hereby resigning from the JK PDP." |
